JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Chef /Cook to start working ASAP.
KEY REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The candidate must meet the following qualifications:
- Matric
KEY REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The candidate must have the following skills and competences
- Must have experience as Cook, Chef, Assistant Chef, Back of House
- Must reside within 25km from job
- Must have clear criminal record
KEY DUTIES:
The candidate will have to implement the following duties:
- To set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- To prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables; butchering meat; or preparing sauces)
- To cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- To maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers
- To clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- To comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- To report and follow the executive chef or sous chefs’ instructions.
- To ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely manner
- To assist in the setup and organization of the kitchen workstations.
- To maintain a clean and sanitized work environment, adhering to food safety standards.
