JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Sales Representative to start working ASAP.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Matric / Grade 12
- Must have valid driver’s license (Code 08)
- Must have relevant qualification in Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, or a related field (advantageous)
- Must have Qualification in Sales, Marketing, or Supply Chain Management
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must have proven experience in business development, sales, and client relationship management
- Must have knowledge of the grain industry, including pricing, market trends, and regulations
- Must have experience in agricultural sales or commodity trading (advantageous)
- Familiarity with grain logistics, quality standards, and contract management (advantageous)
- Must have strong sales and negotiation skills
- Must have ability to analyses market data and identify opportunities
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have strong organizational and administrative abilities
- Must have ability to manage multiple clients, territories, and deadlines
- Willingness to travel regularly
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To achieve monthly and annual sales targets for maize meal, animal feed, and related products
- To identify and secure new business opportunities while expanding the existing customer base
- To build and maintain strong client relationships through regular engagement and support
- To drive repeat sales and increased volumes with existing clients
- To provide accurate product information and market insights to customers
- To stay informed on market trends, pricing structures, and industry developments
- To resolve client queries and issues professionally and timeously
- To prepare and manage sales contracts, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization
- To coordinate with logistics to ensure efficient delivery and follow up on orders and payments
- To submit accurate sales reports and maintain up-to-date client records
- To monitor competitor activity and report on market intelligence
- To adhere to internal policies, pricing protocols, and regulatory requirements
- To identify and report potential operational or trading risks
- To attend industry events, training sessions, and workshops as required
