JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Millwright to start working ASAP.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have N4 Mechanical/Electrical Engineering plus trade test
- Must have minimum 5-10 years production line or FMCG maintenance experience
- Must have PLC/VSD Drives experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must have knowledge in mixers, dividers, proffers and conveyor systems, oven burners and bakery equipment
- Must have ability to communicate on all levels.
- Must have ability to work systematically.
- Must have ability to prioritize workload.
- Report writing and analysis.
- Maintenance systems like 5 why, fish-bone, etc
- Mentoring apprentices.
- Must be able to work shifts and be available on call outs and standby if required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the machines do not deteriorate.
- To inspect drives, motors, belts, bearings, replace filters and perform other maintenance actions following checklists. Be able to comply with Food safety standards, and previous FMCG experience will be an advantage.
- Assemble, install and / or repair, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment on steam and waterlines.
- To ensure that your department complies with all Health and Safety requirements.
- Record maintenance and repair work performed and report to the line manager of your findings.
- Projects and machine installations
- Accurate completion of administrative forms.
- To lead by example with the team of assistants as per shift requirement.
- To ensure statutory inspections relevant to you are kept up to date.
