JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Butchery Counter hand to start working ASAP.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Matric
- Must reside within 25km from job
- Must have clear criminal record
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must be South African candidates
- Must have experience in Butcher, General Assistant, General Clerk, General Worker, Counter hand, Counter Attendant
- Candidates between 18 and 65
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To help prepare and cut different types of meat, such as trimming, portioning, and packaging, based on what customers want.
- Greet customers with a smile, answer their questions, and help them choose the right meat.
- To arrange and display meat cuts neatly and in a way that looks fresh and appealing.
- Check stock levels for meat and supplies, and let the manager know if anything is running low.
- To keep the work area clean by throwing out waste and keeping things tidy.
- To update prices when needed and make sure all items have the correct price tags.
- To keep the counter clean and follow all food safety rules to make sure everything is safe and hygienic.
- To handle payments (cash or card) accurately and make sure all transactions go smoothly.
- Work with the team to get orders ready quickly, especially during busy times.
- To make sure all meat products are good quality, and tell your supervisor if there are any issues.
- To restock items like bags and wrapping paper throughout the day as needed.
- To cooperate with coworkers to keep things running smoothly and provide a good experience for customers.
- To follow all health and safety rules, especially when handling, cutting, and storing meat to avoid contamination.
- To store meat carefully to avoid cross-contamination, keeping raw and cooked products separate and following safety rules.
- Listen to customer feedback and share it with your manager to help us improve our service and products.
