FULL DESCRIPTIONS:

Our company is looking for the qualified Pest Control Operator & Gas Fumigator to start working urgently.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

Must have registered Pest Control Operator (PCO) in terms of Act 36 of 1947.
Registered and licensed to perform gas fumigation in the applicable fumigation category.
Must be medically fit to work with pesticides and fumigants.
Must have minimum 2–3 years’ pest control and fumigation experience.
Understand detailed Pest control principles and knowledge of company policies and procedures.
Must have strong on client relationships and strong communication skills.
Must have come from a similar environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To deliver a quality inspection and treatment service to exceed customer expectations.
To inspect buildings and premises for signs of pests or infestation.
To determine the type of treatment needed to eliminate pests.
To apply pesticides in and around buildings and other structures.
To conduct site inspections and perform risk assessments prior to fumigation
To prepare and seal fumigation areas to ensure gas-tight environments
To apply fumigants according to manufacturer guidelines and legal standards
To monitor gas levels throughout the fumigation process
To ensure treatment areas remain restricted to authorised personnel only
To aerate treated areas and confirm gas-free status before re-entry
To issue fumigation and clearance certificates upon completion
To use only approved and registered fumigation chemicals
To ensure all chemicals have valid SDS documentation and L-numbers
To store chemicals safely in secure and ventilated areas
To prevent contamination by avoiding mixing incompatible substances.
