FULL DESCRIPTIONS:
Our company is looking for the qualified Grade B Reaction Officer to start working urgently.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have Grade 10 or Grade 11 report with minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Must have Valid PSIRA Grade B Certificate
- Must have minimum 2–3 years’ experience in the security industry
- Must have at least 2 years’ experience as a Reaction Officer or in armed response
- Must have experience in patrolling, alarm response, and emergency handling
- Must have firearm competency certificate for relevant categories (Handgun, Shotgun, Rifle)
- Must have firearm competency for Business Purpose (Handgun, Shotgun, Rifle)
- Must have valid firearm permit issued by company or authority
- Must have valid Arm Respond certificate
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Must have excellent driving skills (Code 8/B licence – often Code 10/C1 preferred)
- Must have knowledge of firearms safety and handling procedures
- Must have ability to assess and respond to threats quickly
- Must have strong communication (radio and verbal) Fluent in English
- Must have incident reporting and observation skills
- Must have basic computer literacy.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To develop and maintain an effective information network enabling the collection, evaluation and co-ordination of information from sources within and without the company, contributing to the detection and prevention of offences relating to fraud and theft.
- Reporting of all crime and mine related information to the Shift Supervisor, his delegate or any other appointee.
- Investigation of all criminal activities, crime scenes and management of such scenes inclusive of reporting such actions to Shift Supervisor without delay.
- To monitor the application of security measures on the client’s premises and report the results thereof to the Shift Supervisor.
- Parades must be held 15 minutes prior to the commencement of the shift at the designated area.
- To ensure that vehicle is inspected and in good operating order to perform your duties.
- Arrest any person committing a crime, which warrants an arrest as per Schedule Offences as per Criminal Procedures Act and Explosive Law.
- To investigate all irregularities and any suspicions reported to you.
- To contact the Security Control Room (TCS) immediately when suspicions and irregularities are positive.
