JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Chef to start working ASAP.
KEY REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The candidate must meet the following qualifications:
- Must have relevant tertiary qualification in food and beverage services or culinary arts is compulsory
- Must have minimum 5 years’ experience of progressive culinary/kitchen management is compulsory
- Must have experience working within budget guidelines to deliver results is compulsory
KEY REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The candidate must have the following skills and competences
- Must have knowledge of the catering environment ranging from fine dining to restaurant dining
- Must have knowledge of South African and industry-specific law
- Must have strong financial acumen, proven budgetary and food control practices
KEY DUTIES:
The candidate will have to implement the following duties:
- To develop and plan menus
- To establish recipes and food purchase specifications
- To coordinate, execute, supervise, and evaluate all food production activities of a fast-paced operation
- To assist in the management of the strategic and day to day operations of the operation
