JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Senior Controller to start working ASAP.
KEY REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The candidate must meet the following qualifications:
- Matriculation certification
- Must be in possession of a valid and endorsed Code 08 driver’s license
- Must have completed relevant freight and logistics courses
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years’ working experience within the Oil and Gas / Project / Marine sector of the market at Controller level
- Must have a minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years’ experience within the Clearing and Forwarding Industry at Controller level
KEY REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The candidate must have the following skills and competences
- Self-starter with high sense of urgency and responsibility
- Must have the ability to work independently and multi-task
- Must have well-developed interpersonal skills and be able to liaise effectively with people at all levels within an organization
- Must have good industry networking combined with high level relationships with all critical suppliers
- Must have strong administrative skills
- Quality control, by ensuring quality and procedure standards are maintained
- Report-writing skills
- Must be able to interact and participate in a team and be a team player
- Must have excellent working knowledge of customs affairs especially in relation to international exports and imports
- Must have high attention to detail
KEY DUTIES:
The candidate will have to implement the following duties:
- To maximize customer satisfaction through co-operation with allied disciplines (Entries, Finance, etc.) and third parties (SACD, Customs, Air Lines, Transporters etc.)
- To identify and take the appropriate mitigating steps to limit all risk issues
- To continual evaluation on cost savings and process improvement
- To support the Business Unit Manager and Supervisor in the implement and maintain relevant ISO and operational procedures when required
- To ensure full adherence to the prescribed policies and procedures within the Division
- To transport arrangements; arrange pickup / deliveries, packing when instructed by Client
- To prepare, print and collate applicable Shipping documents
- To arrange for all required examinations when required
- To service Delivery; adhere to and comply with service agreement and utilize all necessary resources available to ensure the best service
- To solve operational problems with Clients and Suppliers
