JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Sign Writer to start working ASAP.
KEY REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The candidate must meet the following qualifications:
- Matric
KEY REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The candidate must have the following skills and competences
- Must have experience as Graphic Designer, Merchandiser, Sign Writer
- Must reside within 25km from job
- Must have clear criminal record
KEY DUTIES:
The candidate will have to implement the following duties:
- To prepare rough sketches from specifications and plan the lettering
- To measure the surface onto which the lettering is to be placed and mark the height and position of the letters in chalk to ensure correct spacing
- To paint the sign; spreading the paint evenly and making good outlines and apply a second coat of paint when the first is dry.
- To sign writers also paint logos and simple illustrations in some cases.
- To assist in the design, layout, and creation of a variety of signs using different mediums and materials.
- To assist in the preparation and setup of sign production, including cutting, painting, and assembly.
- To maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and quality standards.
- To assist with inventory management and restocking of sign-making supplies.
- To learn installation techniques for various types of signage.
