JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Foreman to start working ASAP.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have Grade 12 with Math’s and Science.
- Must have NQF level 5 qualification in power station operations or equivalent will be an added advantage.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must have minimum of 5 years working experience in a Supervisory level and 3 years’ experience on Foreman level in a sugar mill Extraction and Energy environment is essential.
- Must be well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be computer literate (MS Package), knowledge of SAP System will be an added advantage.
- Must be willing to work overtime and occasionally act as shift foreman.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To implement and Monitor continues improvement initiatives to improve Extraction and Energy operational efficiencies where sucrose extraction, bagasse moistures and boiler operations are some of the key parameters.
- To manage and control the quality of Extraction Processes and Energy Generation to meet the required specifications.
- To conduct internal bench marking exercises to identify production best practises and improvement opportunities.
- To conduct RCAs and address technical process and audit findings.
- To support Extraction and Energy team in developing skills and experience to meet current and future needs.
- To support the operations engineer in the execution of his/her duties.
- To report and investigate accidents, incidents and implement preventative measures.
- To maintain high quality work standards, comply with safety standards and requirements, and ensure good housekeeping in area of responsibility.
